About
I am the eldest of nine, my parents had 7 boys and 2 girls. We had very happy childhoods. I have been practicing law since 1983 with a special interest in intellectual property, telecommunications, entertainment, environmental, corporate and commercial work.

I have served on numerous committees and held various appointments.
I currently serve as an Independent Senator in the Senate of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, a role I’ve had the honour of holding across several parliamentary terms — the 10th (2013–2015), 11th (2018–2020), 12th (2020–2025), and now the 13th Republican Parliament (2025–present).
Throughout my time in the Senate, I’ve remained committed to promoting good governance, environmental protection, intellectual property reform, and access to justice, and to using my independent voice to advance fairness, accountability, and sustainable development in Trinidad and Tobago.
